I work primarily with Adults and Teens. My therapeutic style involves an eclectic approach. Initially, I like to get a sense of who my clients are. For the first couple of sessions, I want to take time to gather some history of the person(s) and hear what led them to therapy. Shortly thereafter, I establish goals with my clients. The goals help to define the path for therapy.
After the first 2-3 sessions, the therapy will range from talk therapy to mindfulness practices, emotion regulation skills, distress tolerance skills, bibliotherapy and in some cases, EMDR.
Therapy is different for each client, couple or group. I work to provide different ways of healing depending on the needs of the clients.
