I grew up in the Bay Area of California. I chose to obtain my bachelor's in psychology from Brigham Young University in Utah. From there, I worked in different fields for many years. At the age of 32, I decided to return to psychology and obtained my master's in professional psychology at John F. Kennedy University. Following graduate school and over 3,000 hours of training in a variety of environments and clientele, I developed a solid base to offer therapeutic healing. I became licensed and formed a private practice in the spring of 2013.
In addition to having a private practice, I have had opportunities to provide group counseling to clients dealing with drug and alcohol addictions, eating disorders, trauma, codependency and mood disorders. I have certificates in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Dialogue for a Peaceful Change and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing.
I continue to advance my training and education to offer the best counseling possible. I am grateful to be in a position to provide healing and support in a challenging world.
